Quality Assurance Manager - EM118

Overall Purpose of Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Quality Assurance (QA) team. They will be expected to plan the test scenarios and cases for development items ranging from small single developer tasks, to major projects delivered over several months in a number of phases. Moreover they will participate in requirement and business reviews and help fulfil the quality requirements of the Company's products.

Main Activities and Responsibilities:

  • Effectively lead and manage a team of QA Analysts
  • Evaluate and improve upon the practices of the QA team
  • Work with the product managers to prioritize, assign and schedule tasks for the QA team
  • Manage the weekend QA rota and participate in some weekend releases and Disaster Recovery Tests
  • Work Closely with the Company's onshore Web and Application Development teams; and offshore Mobile Application Development Team
  • Manage and expand easyMarkets automated testing solution
  • Review business requirements and technical design documentation
  • Develop and maintain test scenarios and test cases to ensure that what is delivered is consistent with internal client requirements
  • Conduct tests as appropriate (for example: Unit Testing, Integration Testing and Behavioural/Acceptance Testing)
  • Report bugs, re-test and close bugs
  • Participate in technical scope and business requirements review meetings
  • Maintain QA documentation at a detailed level
  • Occasionally assist with Production Bug investigations

Requirements:

  • University degree or diploma in Computer Science/Engineering or relevant field
  • At least 5 years’ experience in a QA role with over 2 years experience at managerial level
  • Prior Website and Mobile Application QA or development experience
  • Experience in Jenkins and/or Selenium HQ
  • Previous experience in financial services or FX will be considered advantageous
  • Ability to perform under tight deadlines and under pressure
  • Ability to evaluate the impact and risk of faults and bugs
  • Team player with excellent communication and leadership skills 
  • Fluent verbal and written English

Further Info:

  • Working hours are daily 8:30 - 17:30  Monday to Friday 
  • Some paid overtime and weekend work required
  • The role is located in Limassol, Cyprus
