What you’ll be doing
- Lead development of new and existing projects, ensuring timely, high-quality delivery.
- Build modular, reusable code with a focus on maintainability.
- Refactor and optimize code to improve performance and efficiency.
- Stay updated on relevant technologies and drive upgrades and technology replacement.
- Guide architecture decisions and help resolve complex technical issues and incidents.
- Mentor team members to support their ongoing technical and professional growth.
- Oversee code reviews and promote best practices to maintain high standards.
- Set team goals, monitor performance, and align output with business objectives.
What we are looking for
- 3+ years leading technical teams, with strong leadership and mentoring capabilities.
- Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), OOP principles, and frameworks like React or Node.js.
- Solid backend development experience using MVC frameworks (e.g., PHP with CakePHP/Laravel, or alternatives like Python/Django, Ruby on Rails, or Node.js/Express).
- Skilled in building and integrating RESTful APIs following best practices.
- Proficient with Git-based version control and collaborative code review workflows (e.g., GitHub).
- Able to produce clean, maintainable code and work independently when needed.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Familiar with front-end build tools and frameworks such as Webpack, SCSS, and Bootstrap.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with unit testing and code quality tools, and a solid grasp of programming concepts and patterns (e.g., trees, queues, stacks).
- Understanding of scalable architecture and deployment tools, including Docker, Redis/Memcached, and reusable automation scripts.
- Good working knowledge of databases, including MySQL and NoSQL solutions like MongoDB.
- Comfortable with Linux-based systems, shell scripting, and command-line tools.
